Our school has established an Active School's Committee with each class having it's own representative from 1st-6th. Our members organise upcoming events,take charge of the PE store, update the Active School's noticeboard and disseminate important information to the rest of the pupil body.

In Octover 2025, our school participated in a four week stint of Active Playground Leaders every Tuesday and Thursday. The 5th and 6th class led the rest of the classes (infants - 6th) in organising, demonstrating and monitoring fun lunchtime yard games. The pupils really enjoyed engaging with their older peers. 

During the months of February and March, the Board of Management is undertaking a major fundraiser '100 Miles A Month' to support the on-going day to day costs involved in running the school. Teachers, staff, parents and members of the wider community are pledging to run,walk,cycle or swim etc. 100 miles between February 12th and March 14th, getting sponsorship along the way. This BOM initiative commenced with each child completing 5 laps of our school (equaling 4.5km on average) which they then donated to all our adults participants. The Parent's Association have also organised a weekly Wednesday walk/run in Tom Walsh Park for everyone to congregate and clock up some miles!

This exciting challenge will end with a community based fun run on March 14th to celebrate our achievements.
