Active School Committee

Our Active Schools Committee was formed in October 2018.

Our first job was to run an Active School slogan competition and to allocate an

Active School Flag Notice Board in the school.

There are six pupils on our Active School Committee.

Their job is to meet and discuss progress, organise future events, update the Active School

Board and to maintain the P.E. equipment store.

The Active Schools Committee is looking forward to working as a team over the coming

school year.

#5KFit

We are very busy here in Skeoughvosteen NS following our #5KFit running programme for this

years stook 5K family run, taking place on Sunday, November 18.

In association with Gowran A.C., we are following our daily fitness programme and we are confident

that we will be ready for the upcoming event!

We hope to see lots of parents there!

Maths Week 2018 (13-21 October)
For Maths Week 2018, all in Skeoughvosteen got active out and about enjoying fresh air and some nice weather.

As part of Active Schools the children took part in Health Promotion Week in February.

They brought healthy lunches and received fruit and vegetables for their lunchbox for a week in conjunction with Incredible Edibles

The classes took 10k steps a day as part of Health Promotion Week and Balance Bikes were introduced for 6 weeks starting in February.

The Active Schools Flag was raised outside the school at then end of Health Promotion Week
